The painter Christoph Schrein has developed his own distinctive abstract imagery throughout his artistic work. For a long time he explored the space between painting and sculpture in his work. His current works are a result of his search for new ways of painting. In his monochrome paintings he is creating an image that appears in flowing motion caused by the superposition of wave-shaped light-reflecting color streams that initiate an complex space of illusion of depth. Abstract painting allows us to explore spaces of possibility beyond our encounter with reality.
